Event Overview

10 Years of Copernicus at Frontex: Anniversary Event and Prize Award is an initiative that marks a decade of achievements and progress in the Copernicus Programme at Frontex. The event will feature a series of engaging sessions and discussions, as well as an Awards Ceremony for winners of the Prize Contest Copernicus Border Surveillance Service Evolution/Digital Twin, showcasing the power of innovation and collaboration in the field of Earth observation and border security. More information on the Prize Contest is enclosed as an Annex.

I hereby declare that I willingly agree to be photographed and/or filmed during the event. I authorise Frontex: To use these photographs and / or videos on Frontex website and / or publications produced by Frontex; to use without restriction the photographs and/or films bearing my image as described above in all types of online publications, in any form of televisual broadcasting or digital communication channels including social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Vimeo); to include and archive these photographs and/or films in Frontex's internal online databases. in order to communicate, illustrate or promote Frontex activities or projects, past, present or future. I hereby give my consent to the processing of my personal data to the extent necessary for the achievement of the purposes mentioned above. Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, is committed to protect your personal data and to respect your privacy. Frontex collects and processes personal data in line with Regulation (EU) 2018/1725. The controller for processing your personal data is the Head of Media and Public Relations Office of Frontex. You can contact the controller on media.consents@frontex.europa.eu. By providing your consent, you allow Frontex to use the photographs and / or video recordings on the agency’s website, social media channels as indicated above, in the headquarters and in publications. Personal data collected by Frontex for the abovementioned purposes is: photos, videos, your name, sometimes your email address. You have the right to access your data and have them corrected, erased or restricted if requested. You can request the exercise of your rights to the Data Controller or the Data Protection Officer (dataprotectionoffice@frontex.europa.eu). Processing of your personal data is based on your explicit consent which you can withdraw at any time, by contacting the controller (media.consents@frontex.europa.eu). You have the right to lodge a complaint to the European Data Protection Supervisor. Your personal data will not be used for an automated decision-making or profiling. Some of your personal data may be made publicly available and posted on the social media such as Facebook, LinkedIn that are head-quartered outside EU. Frontex only keeps your personal data, including photos and video recording, for the time necessary to fulfil the purpose, namely for a maximum period of 10 years. Data will be automatically deleted at the end of this period. The photos you submit will be uploaded in the Frontex digital assets management system (photo and video repository) and used as imagery for other products such as publications.
